I went into this expecting a single story, but it's in fact an anthology。 Funnily enough, the only story in this anthology that didn't really work for me was the one the official blurb is based around。Overall, a delightfully horny collection of stories that left me thinking "Why don't we see more salt-and-pepper oyaji getting absolutely plowed?" Hmmm。。。 it was just okay。I don't like it when the publisher doesn't make clear when a manga is a collection of one-shots like it's the case here。Warning(view spoiler)[dub/non-con (hide spoiler)] Hmmm。。。 it was just okay。I don't like it when the publisher doesn't make clear when a manga is a collection of one-shots like it's the case here。Warning(view spoiler)[dub/non-con (hide spoiler)] 。。。more

Hyougo’s “Kisses, Macarons and Lonely Pie” is a good example of the early meaning of Yaoi: yama nashi, ochi nashi, imi nashi ("no climax, no point, no meaning")。 While explicit and raunchy, there’s a light tone set by the author that is reinforced by the way that the artistic style matches the content, making this a fun read。 Nevertheless, I think it is mostly a forgettable manga whose main function is momentary distraction。Here’s a quote:“But she [your mother] was still just a regular woman。 Sh Hyougo’s “Kisses, Macarons and Lonely Pie” is a good example of the early meaning of Yaoi: yama nashi, ochi nashi, imi nashi ("no climax, no point, no meaning")。 While explicit and raunchy, there’s a light tone set by the author that is reinforced by the way that the artistic style matches the content, making this a fun read。 Nevertheless, I think it is mostly a forgettable manga whose main function is momentary distraction。Here’s a quote:“But she [your mother] was still just a regular woman。 She couldn’t handle all of the stress and burden on her…。” There’s a lot of theory and research about why women create and consume same-sex erotica about males。 Perhaps an equally interesting area of research is the various attitudes, beliefs, values and character traits, often negative, that female creators of BL have their characters voice about other women。 The quote above, from Kijima Hyougo’s humorous, breezy and very explicit “Kisses, Macarons and Lonely Pie,” seems like a good example of a female mangaka voicing negative attitudes about other women through her characters。 (Another area of research might be how often, and under what conditions, male characters use the phrase “He’s so cute” as a justification or explanation for their attraction to other men; the Japanese term ‘kawaii’ corresponds to our English term ‘cute’ but has its own meaning, too, More specifically, how often is ‘kawaii’ used as a justification not just for same sex attraction but also as a way of either claiming a man is staying within or is justified in going beyond defined gender roles, as in “he’s so cute, cute in the way that women are cute, that I can’t help be attracted to him because I’m a guy and guys will respond to this kind of cuteness (so my attraction is still a function of my given gender)” versus “he’s so cute I’m willing to step outside of my gender boundaries to be with him”)。 。。。more

Compilation of one-shotsOh this was good!!!! I love the art and all those expressions。 Perfection 😍。 I love how each couple were pretty different and that the bottom wasn’t always the promiscuous one or that being easy had anything to do with it。 It was finding out how to be honest and vulnerable with the one who you want to give your heart to。 So cute!!!! Lots and lots of steamy goodness too!!

Oh LORD。 I've read some stuff, let me tell you, and this was something。 I can't say I didn't enjoy it because that would be a blatant lie, but at least give me some character development。 Some of the stories were so short, I wasn't even sure who was who before they ended。 None of them felt particularly resolved either。 But yes, if you signed up for smut, you'll get it。 Definitely。 Oh LORD。 I've read some stuff, let me tell you, and this was something。 I can't say I didn't enjoy it because that would be a blatant lie, but at least give me some character development。 Some of the stories were so short, I wasn't even sure who was who before they ended。 None of them felt particularly resolved either。 But yes, if you signed up for smut, you'll get it。 Definitely。 。。。more

I really wish publishers would simply write that the book is an anthology of X number of stories somewhere。 I ended up being disappointed thinking the whole book was ALL about the premise in the blurb to find out it's only the first 30 pages。 I really wish publishers would simply write that the book is an anthology of X number of stories somewhere。 I ended up being disappointed thinking the whole book was ALL about the premise in the blurb to find out it's only the first 30 pages。 。。。more

Lmfao this just went into it right at the start。 Was not expecting cheeks to be fully spread on the first page…This wasn’t as interesting as Hyougo’s other book, Wild Wild Wildlife, I think those concepts were a bit weirder and just more interesting to read。 These were just a little wild with tons of sex, not much relationship progression and a lot of things that made me go HUH??The art is nice at least。

2。5* Keeping this for the punk x oyagi story。 (Is there a better combo for me? Doubtful!) Title story was alright, but I wish it would have ended with a confession。 The rest are pretty meh - shallow, smutty but not sexy, and I’m a good 15 years past being interested in stories like the judo team one。 Ew。

Nice, but so-soThe art was nice, but the stories felt rather rushed。 The first story definitely should have gotten a bit more lengthy。

CW: Graphic sex (censored), Orgy, Age Gap Romance (possibly with a minor but the age is never stated), Sex toysThis is honestly one of the best BL short story collections I've read in a long time。 It gave me exactly what I expected from it。 I read Wild Wild Wildlife by Kijima Hyougo earlier this year, which I had mixed thoughts on。 However, this collection was much more my taste when it comes to BL romance。 The first story is the title story and features two childhood friends who use toys on eac CW: Graphic sex (censored), Orgy, Age Gap Romance (possibly with a minor but the age is never stated), Sex toysThis is honestly one of the best BL short story collections I've read in a long time。 It gave me exactly what I expected from it。 I read Wild Wild Wildlife by Kijima Hyougo earlier this year, which I had mixed thoughts on。 However, this collection was much more my taste when it comes to BL romance。 The first story is the title story and features two childhood friends who use toys on each other。 It was sweet, consensual, and spicy。My favorite story involves a Judo team that has an orgy with the captain。 It was bonkers but fun。I also really liked the butler story line。 It features a young man who finds out his dad is rich。 He falls for his new butler who wants to protect and serve。 I honestly highly recommend this book。 All of the stories were steamy and fun。 。。。more
